Los Gatos, Calif. – December 12, 2012 – Jolata, Inc., a stealth-mode start-up building solutions for real time network monitoring, analytics and performance optimization, today announced that Jian Zhen has joined the executive management team as VP of Products. Jian is a seasoned products executive with more than 15 years of experience in commercial enterprise software at both large and startup companies. He brings a strong background in big data analytics, cloud services, semantic search, contextual correlation and security.
Jian was most recently at VMware as head of product management for Cloud Services, where he helped build VMware’s first service provider offerings. His experiences there and at LogLogic (acquired by TIBCO) are particularly relevant for his role at Jolata, where he will focus development efforts on the service provider and financial services market segments. He has a proven track record of both creating innovative product strategies and building highly innovative products and services. As a manager, he excels at finding, hiring and developing top-tier talent looking to work on some of the world’s most interesting technical problems.
Jian joins CEO, John Loiacono (previously EVP/SVP at Sun Microsystems and Adobe Systems), and CTO and network and industry guru Charles Barry, PhD (veteran of Juniper Networks and four previous start-ups) to form the executive team at Jolata. Jolata is a venture-backed company and only a few months into operation, but already building out it’s first proof of concept solution for a tier-one mobile carrier.
